In recent years, there has been a tremendous push to increase LGBTQIA+ representation in various aspects of life, from the workplace to the media. However, in the realm of startups, emerging technologies, institutions and policies, this representation is often lackluster. LGBTQIA+ individuals, along with our allied communities, have unique perspectives and experiences that are essential to ensuring equity for all people in the world we are creating.

WebQ is committed to the Design Justice Principles to ensure LGBTQIA+ voices are heard and that their perspectives and experiences are taken into consideration to reduce stigma and unnecessary challenges in daily life.

WebQ plans to develop programs to help institutions create an inclusive workplace culture that embraces all identities and backgrounds, allowing everyone to feel safe, valued, and appreciated so they can realize their highest potential.

We understand the importance of “baking” diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) practices into an organization. That's why WebQ plans to work closely with our member organizations to assess current policies and procedures, as well as the development and implementation of new initiatives, ensuring people of all backgrounds and identities experience tangible results.

WebQ has designed comprehensive project plans to demonstrate and measure social impact applications of digital assets. Partnering with leading research institutes, universities, and law makers we can show how these technologies can reduce harm and risk within the most vulnerable communities.
